Is the translation incorrect? Remember Rune’s original line in the movie was hardly well-formed English either. I think the translator is listed on the movie home page.
I didn’t mean Robert/Rune’s line but the whole text. Seems quite factitious – nobody would actually talk like that. Even if the translators are native Germans. That alone doesn’t make them good linguists. But what do I know… I’m no linguist either. :)
It is *deliberately* bad English [German/Portuguese/...]. The translators got it just right. Not only is Robert(/Rune) at SOLO 2 “focusing on one relevant aspect only”, he’s also appearantly not doing too great of a job at thaat either… This makes for a great contrast to Susan (/Doina)’s impressive SOLO 5 answer. :)
