I am spending the weekend with Mikoline in Hjørring. Currently the danish selection for the eurovision song contest is running and Mikoline is watching with some interest. I suspect Martin would have watched it too, had he been in Denmark. Meanwhile I am relaxing hard and right after this I am probably going back to reading The Saga of the Seven Suns, I am currently halfway through book three in the series and it has really been an enjoyable read so far, it is really great story – a well written space opera.

I don’t know if I would have watched the Danish competition being alone, but if Stephanie was there then sure I would! Yesterday evening we watched DSDS: “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. We’ve had such a show in Denmark too and this is exactly the same.
It’s quite fun — in the first phase it’s fun because there are so many strange people who think they can sing when they really cannot, and the tough jury always has some good comments to give those lunatic candidates on their way home. In the second phase it becomes more of a normal music show, which is also okay — still entertaining but not in such a fun way as before :-)
