LyX and Bus Tour to Mekka Symposium

I’ve signed up for the bustrip to mekka symposium now, anyone interessted in going from Denmark by bus should check depths buspage. Other than that I have no real news today, I’m very tired right now since I worked on a physics assignment until 2:50AM and had to get up at 6:20AM. Not much sleep.
Well I’ve got something to say after all. I’ve used the new LyX version 1.1.6fix1 for my physics assignment yesterday and I must say that it’s a change for the worse going from 1.1.5 to 1.1.6. The table functions are supposed to be optimised – there’s the possibility for more advanced tables now – but the “feel” of the tables is all wrong and I experienced that when trying to insert a number into a cell the number would simple disappear to outside the table. I couldn’t get the table floats working too, well, maybe it’s just me. But it’s still a _great_ program though and I do like the new feature allowing you to export to PDF very much, so I still urge others to switch to LyX – when coming from msword or similar editors a whole new world emerge!

Asleep in Class

I fell asleep in class today, got caught by the teacher. Not a thing that I would recommend.
I got some programming done last night, not much due to the fact that I had to do some math though. I hope that I’ll be able to complete the contribution to NeHe’s CD by tomorrow and then I’ll mail NeHe to see if he’s interested.

I’ve mailed the demo to NeHe, but it will not be released to others until m&s or until the CD (if it is put on it) is released. Anyways, it was a short period of snow we had here in Denmark, most of it has already gone. Now it’s just rain all over again, and a lot of it! I’m looking forward to summer.

I was right, just when I entered the bus home the snowstorm arrived. And when I took my bike from the busstation to my home the weather was awful. It has been snowing ever since. Right now (13:25) it’s just starting to snow heavily again. Well, I’ve decided to make a little OpenGL demo and see if NeHe wants it on his cd. I might be a bit late though but if he doesn’t like it I’ll use stuff from it to my m&s demo. I made a cool effect yesterday with some almost totally random lines ordering itself to a sphere

Working on a Demo

So, end of another weekend. There are supposed to come a major snowstorm in Denmark this morning according to the forcasts. I was so lucky that I left home before it started and as of right now (8:30), the weather is still clear. With my luck it’ll probably start just when I’m heading home.
I’ve spent my weekend drinking too much and working on the PCdemo for the “mekka & symposium” in easter. I’ve added some sophisticated camera movement based on hermite functions and I’ve made a classic “dotsphere”. It is not going to be a winning demo I’m afraid, but I’m satisfied just to get it shown:). BTW: All danish people looking for a way to come to the mekka & symposium should look here. It’s a danish bustrip starting from Aalborg. I’ve already signed up with a friend and so has 32 others so you might want to hurry.
